Performance

Variable Power Control

The HX series introduces variable power control with three power modes to ensure the highest performance in any operating environment. P (power mode) maximizes speed and power for heavy work. S (standard mode) optimizes performance and fuel efficiency for general work. E (economy mode) improves control and efficiency for light work.

Attachment Flow Control

The HX series improves pump flow rate by giving the operator independent control of two pumps. It optimizes flow rate settings according to the attachment type (10 breaker types and 10 crusher types), which is ideal for various applications.

Fuel Efficiency

HX series excavators are designed with fuel efficient tier 4 final engines, hydraulic advancements and electronic improvements that improve overall fuel efficiency by as much as 10% compared to the previous series.

Cycle Time Improvement

Through a combination of innovative hydraulic system enhancements, Hyundai HX series excavators achieve up to 5% faster cycle speeds than previous models, which increases productivity.

Convenience

Intelligent 8" Touchscreen Monitor

The 8-inch interactive touchscreen color display - with centralized switches - allows the operator to check and manage most features of machine operation, switches and diagnostics, all in one convenient location.

Advanced Audio System

The audio system includes an AM/FM radio, a USB-based MP3 player, an integrated Bluetooth hands-free feature and a built-in microphone to allow for phone calls while at work and in transit. The audio system controls are located on the right side of the operator for convenient access.

Innovative Haptic Control

Haptic control is a common technology found on luxury automobiles that makes selecting menus and adjusting settings easy. The haptic remote control uses vibrations and pulses to guide the operator through menu selections, enabling control of the accelerator, air conditioner, and all functions within the cluster for maximum convenience.

Deluxe Operator's Seat

HX Series excavators feature deluxe operator's seats with air suspension, selectable heat and adjustable arm rests and control consoles. Seats are fully adjustable for maximum operator comfort.

Efficiency

IPC (Intelligent Power Control)

The IPC controls power depending on work environments. Its mode can be selected and released on monitor. On the excavation mode, pump flow can be easily controlled by a lever, reducing fuel consumption.

EPIC (Electric Pump Independent Control)

EPIC mode optimizes the pump and power flow by considering the working operation such as boom down, leveling, Swing Relief Cut etc. thus reduces the fuel consumption.

Special Purpose Bucket

Special Purpose Bucket are designed for Marble & Granite Block Handling. The Hydraulics and attachments are designed to offer high digging forces

New Cooling System

With Cooling module improving air inflow, the HX- Series provides excellent cooling performance by increasing Heat Dissipation.

Serviceability

HI- MATE

Hi-MATE Hyundai's newly developed remote management system, utilizes GPS satellite technology to provide customers with the highest level of service & product support available. Hi-MATE enables users to remotely evaluate machine performance, access diagnostic information, and verify machine locations at the touch of a button.

Cab Air Filter Access

Cab air filter is conveniently accessible from ground level by way of a lockable door on the cab.

Upper Structure Access

HX series excavators are equipped with large grab rails, guard rails and a proprietary anti-slip surface on the upper structure that make accessing key service areas easier and safer.

Stacked Cooler Design

HX series excavators feature aluminum open-core coolers mounted in a stacked configuration to improve air flow, enhance cooling efficiency and improve serviceability.

Safety

AAVM (All Around View Monitoring)

The Hyundai-exclusive AAVM video camera system provides the operator a 360-degree field of view on the monitor, which greatly contributes to work site safety. Part of this system includes IMOD (Intelligent Moving Object Detection), which alerts the operator to the presence of people or objects within a 5 meter (16 ft) range of operation.

Grab Rails & Guard Rails

Large upper grab rails coupled with left and right side guard rails facilitate access to the upper while reducing potential falls.

Anti-slip Surface

Hyundai's proprietary, patented anti-slip surface uniquely designed to prevent accidental slips and falls that can result in injury when working or inspecting the upper structure of the machine. The rubber tread surface is less abrasive on knees when kneeling and performing inspections.

Auto-travel Alarm

An auto-travel alarm will sound as soon as travel is engaged forward or reverse. This standard safety feature greatly increases job site safety by alerting workers around the machine. This alarm may be deselected by a convenient switch.
